Tonight at Amapola: Kenwood Artist Series Library Tasting

Tonight we’ll be opening five vintages of the legendary Kenwood Artist Series Cabernet Sauvignon from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s — a rare chance to explore one of California’s most iconic luxury Cabernet programs across multiple decades.

First released in 1975, the Artist Series helped define the idea of collectible California Cabernet at a time when Napa Valley was still establishing its international reputation. Each vintage featured original artwork commissioned for the label, turning the bottles themselves into pieces of wine history. Over the years, the series featured artists including Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, and Henry Miller, blending the worlds of fine art and fine wine long before that became common marketing practice.
